What is included in a full-service groom?
Each grooming includes a bath, haircut (if needed), spa facial, nail trim, paw pad shave, sanitary trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression if requested. Additionally, they will be given cologne and a bandana or bow at the end of their visit.
How often should my dog get groomed?
At the end of the day, it depends on the type of dog. Most of our clients get their long-hair dogs groomed every 6 to 8 weeks. This helps keep their dogs clean, healthy, and looking good.
Why should I get my outside dogs groomed?
It's important to groom your outside dogs, even though they don't come into the house. First, it helps keep them smelling fresh and looking good. Second, it is necessary in order to properly care for their coat.
Grooming not only cleans their coats, but also removes dead undercoat and prevents mats from forming. Your dog's coat provides them with insulation during the winter and keeps them cool during the summer. Dead undercoat and matted fur can lead to temperature issues for your dog during these seasons.
How often do my dog's nails need to be trimmed?
Like grooming, the frequency of your dog's nail trimming sessions will vary depending on your dog.
Different dogs have slightly different rates of toenail growth, and this rate also depends on the types of surfaces that your dog frequents. Some dogs may need a trim once a month, while other dogs will require more frequent visits.
What are your toenail trimming prices?
Small dogs: $7
Large dogs: $10
Toenail filing: additional $5
What are the benefits of toenail filing?
Freshly cut toenails can be very sharp. Filing can help prevent scratches on the skin and on your floors.
Is there a way to keep my dog from shedding so much?
Yes! We offer FURminator de-shed conditioning and blow-dry treatments, as well as several other special tools to help reduce excessive shedding. We recommend taking advantage of these services every 6 to 8 weeks for the best results.
